1. The mission:

The aim of the activity of the PALANDER INSTITUTE is to act as a bridge between civil society, political decision makers, actors of economic life and also representatives of scientific sphere, to reveal and explore new possibilities of discourse and reinforce the responsibility in participants of communication concerning community purposes. The Institute is ready to act for strengthening the initiatives and processes in the civil society by adapting the international experience of democracy and disseminate the democratic norms of informing the publics and also the effective methods of civil participation.

2. The aims:

to analyse and size up of needs and values of information of different groups of society and subpublics, that can serve as a basis for country-focused/specified and regional cooperation and development,
to increase the effectiveness of social and transnational communication and cooperation with venturing supranational and interintstitutional scientific research in the fields of culture, economy, science, education , media, sport and healthcare - thus broadening the possibilities and tools of diplomacy, involving civil society in the solution of common issues.
to contribute to reveal the cause of disfunctionality in effective social and international communication, to draw up milestones for orientation of alternatives in accomplishment on the basis of international experiences,
to research mechanisms of transactions in communication, also convergence of mediatory channels of communicational messages and also the parameters of structures of receptive situation,
to make recommendations for handling community issues from internal and international aspects.

3. The strategy

The complexity and rapidity of changes of our times force immediate reactions of decision makers. To achieve responsible solutions either on national or international level it is necessary to involve the community in question. The milestones of the research work of PALANDER INSTITUTE will be the dissemination, accomplishment of research works, analyses, problem-maps and alternatives of solutions, and also working out techniques for application , that can serve as orientation marks in the interactions of social communication.

Network of multilevel conferences ( online and webconferences, inter-and multipersonal meetings) for identifying, presenting the problems and the research works. Establishing knowledge-network between the representatives of each segments.

Publication issues: online-and paper based publications, brochures, periodicals.
Master courses: public master courses in exclusive research themes ( online, on site), with prominent representatives of the research field ( pe. the disfunctionality of the traditional culture meaning and culture-definitions ).
Building up, analysing and widening contacts and links of cooperation with other institutions in the field .
Establishing and supporting systems of partnerships, donations and cooperation in projects and calls.
